Learn through partnership with Palestinian communities
Volunteer in Palestine
In Palestine, where cultural identity faces constant threats and civil society organizations work under extraordinary pressures, international volunteers play a vital role in supporting community-led initiatives. Working alongside our Palestinian partner organizations, volunteers contribute practical skills while gaining deep insights into Palestinian life, history, and resilience.
Our volunteer program connects committed individuals with Palestinian organizations across the West Bank, from refugee camp community centers to healthcare institutions, from cultural organizations to advocacy groups. These aren’t traditional volunteer-abroad experiences – they’re opportunities for genuine cultural exchange and community work.

Learning, understanding and appreciating a new culture is such a special experience and being in Palestine has taught me so much. Also about myself, my own beliefs and comforts.
— Caroline, YWCA volunteer
Your contribution, your learning
Palestinian organizations need volunteers who bring specific skills while remaining open to learning from Palestinian colleagues and communities. Whether you’re supporting English communication, working in agriculture, contributing to children’s programming, or assisting with administrative tasks, your role becomes part of larger Palestinian-led initiatives.
The experience challenges assumptions many volunteers bring about Palestine and the broader region. You’ll discover a vibrant society where, despite ongoing occupation and restrictions, Palestinians maintain rich cultural traditions, innovative civil society work, and remarkable hospitality toward international visitors.
Partnership organizations
We work with a number of established Palestinian organizations that have requested international volunteer support. We also facilitate custom placements based on volunteers’ specific skills and Palestinian organizations’ evolving needs. I have gained insight into the culture and history of the Palestinian people. It was also exciting and at times hard to be allowed to feel a little lonely, to be alone in a foreign culture, and then to experience the difference it makes to one’s understanding of oneself that you are well received.
— Christoffer, volunteer at Dheisha refugee camp
