The Danish House in Palestine have more than 10 years of experience in providing a wide range of volunteer opportunities in East Jerusalem and across the West Bank for young, retired and everything in between.
Our new volunteer program is facilitated by us, but gives you a unique possibility to volunteer in one of our four partner organisations in a rich learning environment – both on a personal and professional level. Our organisation’s DNA is based on mutual learning, so it is essential for us that both candidates and host organisations benefit from the experience. If you wish to apply for positions within different organisations, please fill out one form for each organisation.
The deadline for applying is ongoing. We will review your application together with the partner organisation and get back to you with further information as soon as possible.
The Danish House in Palestine connects you with the host organisation and provides you with practical support and advice in relations to security, accommodation and travelling. The price of participating in the volunteer programme is 5.000 DKK and includes:
- Facilitating and coordination of your volunteering with one of our four partner organisations
- Pick-up transportation from the airport to your destination
- Briefing including details on security, code of conduct and circumstances in general
- Ongoing security updates
- A contact person at DHIP throughout your stay
- Assistance in case of emergency
- Assistance finding accommodation
- An educational tour
- Participation in events and excursions
- Individual feedback and evaluation
Tamer Institute for Community Education
Tamer Institute for Community Education works to create positive learning environments for children and youth living across Palestine. Through cultural productions, programmes and publications Tamer Institute is engaging communities and establish social change by supporting learning process, literary and scholar productions on child culture in Palestine.

Al Harah Theater aims at producing challenging but accessible theatre and operate with a high level of representation. Besides theatre production Al-Harah Theater provides educational training programmes to educate and create positive change throughout Palestine.

Filmlab: Palestine is cultivating cinema culture within Palestine from production to screening in order to preserve collective memory and to strengthen the opportunities of the Palestinian film industry. The Edward Said National Conservatory of Music offers high quality music education and training programs and aims at disseminate a lively and creative music culture in every Palestinian home.
